Futuro Corp's page The True Cost of a Missed Call: 2026 Statistics, dated 23 July 2026, collects these claims and attaches a source to each:
- 28.5 percent of calls arrive outside business hours. Futuro attributes this to getnextphone, 2026.
- 34.8 percent of after-hours callers express buying intent. Also attributed to getnextphone, 2026.
- 35 to 40 percent of calls arrive after business hours in appointment-driven industries. Futuro marks this as an industry compilation, 2025, not a single study.
- 40 percent of bookings are made after hours. Attributed to SchedulingKit, 2026.
The first two are one publisher's figures, repeated by Futuro. The third is explicitly a compilation. The fourth is a scheduling-product page. None of them is the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and none of them measured a specific Hillsboro contractor. They are the public range a shop owner is being shown in 2026.
What to do with the range
If even the low end is roughly true, a quarter of the calls are happening while the office is empty. An answering machine does not book those. A person on a day shift does not either. That is the gap Serath's Front Desk and Full Desk are priced for: someone, or something built for the shop, has to pick up when the truck is out. The price on the site is $750 plus $400 a month for Front Desk, and $1,200 plus $650 a month for Full Desk, which adds after-hours handling and a monthly call log.
